About NEET UG entrance exam

The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET), formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), is the qualifying test for MBBS and BDS programs in Indian medical and dental colleges. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). NEET is a single entrance examination for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in India. It is compulsory for all Indian students seeking admission to medical and dental colleges.

NEET was introduced in 2013, replacing the AIPMT. NEET is held twice a year, in May and December. The May exam is for students seeking admission to medical and dental colleges in the following academic year. The December exam is for students seeking admission to universities offering a second round of counseling and few days, you have to check admission status.

NEET is a three-hour exam, consisting of 180 multiple-choice questions. The questions are divided into three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. NEET is scored out of 720.

Format of the NEET exam
